Contact Centre

A number of church members are volunteers at Springfield Contact Centre, Upminster, where children of separated parents can enjoy the company of the non-resident parent. The centre which is a member of the National Association of Child Contact Centres aims to provide a safe environment for all concerned and can be used for either regular visits, which are usually fortnightly, or as a hand-over point between parents. Springfield Contact Centre was established by Upminster Baptist Church and is now staffed by volunteers from several local Christian churches.

Meadowbanks care home is situated in Hall Lane, Upminster and is home to 40 residents each having their own private en suite room and with facilities for communal gatherings.  Grace Community Church hosts a monthly Sunday service of Christian fellowship which is open to all the residents, their family and any members of staff wanting to come along.  It is very informal, light hearted and enjoyable, with time to sing some worship songs, share the gospel in a relaxed manner and offer prayer to anyone who would like prayer.
